This is for a very VERY important project I’ve been working on for 8 months. I’m trying to learn more about people’s perception of lomography, and this seemed like a simple way to do it.
If you’re not a lomographer but you know someone who is, please forward them the link to the form, I’d really, really appreciate it!
Sarah Silverman’s Message To America, On Gay Suicide
The entire phenomenon of gay teen suicide explained in 30 seconds with no jokes.
Why is it that comedians are the only ones who take anything seriously anymore?
Everyone needs to watch this…
My tumblr page is meant to be only about Lomography/Analogue photography, but if by reblogging I can get at least one more person to watch this, I’m happy.
(Céu is a -very- beautiful brazilian singer. Here in Brazil, “cangote” refers to that little spot right on the side of a person’s neck, under the ear, above the shoulder.)
I’ve been doing research on Lomography for about 9 months. I’m almost graduating in Social Communications, and I chose it as the subject of my final project.
I can tell you the history. I can give you my extensive explanation as to why it is an extremely unique, relevant and important movement. I am almost capable of listing every camera Lomography has ever launched to the public, alphabetically. Backwards.
(No, I can’t, but maybe someday.)
But to this day, whenever someone (casually) feigns interest on my project and asks me “What is Lomography?”, I cannot for the life of me come up with a simple answer. I have lost the ability of explaining what Lomography is in less than a paragraph. I think it might be because I’ve been studying a lot of it, I really love it, and I get excited when I start talking about it.
Wolfgang Stranzinger said “Lomography is an international communication project.”
Perfect. If you have time to explain why.
So I ask of you, how do you explain what Lomography is?
But not just Lomography.
Let's talk, beautifully random
moments, music, and freedom.
Let's trade knowledge, and opinion.
Let's love seemingly unimportant details,
and reblog them if they catch our eyes
and hold our minds captive.
If you are simply curious, interested,
addicted, or if you paint your walls
with grainy photographs,
I will follow your blog.
If you want to, follow back! I'd love to keep in touch.
